Speaker 1: Today, we’re going to be taking a look at the NOCO Accessories X-Connect Eyelet Terminal Connectors. They’re available with quarter-inch eyelets with Part #329-GC002. They’re also available in 3/8th-inch eyelets, with Part #329-GC008.These eyelets are going to allow you to permanently attach one half of your charger’s cable to your battery. It uses the NOCO X-Connect to easily attach it to your charger. When it’s not in use, it can easily be disconnected. Thanks to the unique shapes of the socket, it cannot be plugged in the incorrect way.

It’s fuse-protected to prevent overload and damage. The 10 AMP fuse is included.Here, we’re using it with the 2.5 watt solar panel, but it can easily be connected to any NOCO charger with an X-Connect. The cable is two foot long, that’s in addition to your charger’s cable. The eyelet simply attaches to the studs on your battery. When you do so, you’ll want to be sure to install the positive side first.And that’s going to complete our look at the NOCO Accessories X-Connect Eyelet Terminal Connectors..

Speaker 1: Today we’re going to take a look at the REDARC 24 volt 100 amp smart start battery isolator.Now this battery isolator will protect your start battery from auxiliary drain, and multiple battery setups. Transfers the charge from your start battery to your auxiliary battery, once the start battery gains charge from the alternator. The isolator function will stop power transfer from the charging battery if its voltage drops too low, which will prevent excessive discharge, and even a dead battery.The blue wire on this is an override wire, this allows for emergency starts and simple fault detection. Basically you can attach this wire to a switch, which we sell separately on our website, and that’s to manually reverse the charge and jumpstart a dead start battery. Or you can connect it to an LED that can be mounted in your cab for easy viewing of diagnostics.They do use silver contact points to ensure long life and corrosion resistance. It has a nice durable housing here to protect the sensitive electronics.

It’s a very compact design which allows for versatile installation.Overall dimension including the mounting bracket on the bottom is about three inches long. About two 1/4 inches wide. And about three and 1/4 inches tall. So you can mount this isolator in a nice convenient location near your start battery.Now we do carry six gauge cables, fuses and connectors we sell separately that you can use to install this. This part is made in Australia, application again is for vehicles with standard or temperature compensation alternators.

Maximum continuous current is 100 amps. Standby current is less than five milliamps, and the output connection for this is 24 volts DC.But that should do it for the review on the REDARC 24 volt 100 amp smart start battery isolator.

Because OBDII ports have a direct connection to your vehicle’s battery, NOCO’s adapter makes it easy to charge and maintain your battery without opening the hood. Simply just plug it in. The other end goes to the X-Connect on your NOCO charger.Here we’re using it with our 2.5-watt solar panel, but you can use it with other NOCO chargers that have an X-Connect.It’s fuse-protected to prevent overload and damage. Speaker 1: Today we’ll be having a look at the Redarc 40 amp fuse kit for Redarc in-vehicle DC to DC battery chargers, part number 331-FK40.This fuse kit is a great solution when you need to fuse a power wire, such as this six gauge power wire. You may need to use this if you’re using a battery charger on a trailer, which is what we’re going to be using for, or if you’re using it for a wench or if you’re using it for a salt spreader on the back of a plow truck or whatever other application you’re using it with.In our particular case we’re using six gauge wire going into it. The terminals that come with it will crimp onto six gauge wire very nicely. This kit will come with two fuse holders and four fuses so you have two replacement fuses if you ever we’re happen to blow one.We also have four ring terminals so you can actually install both fuse holders appropriately.Now the reason you’re going to want this over other fuse options on the market is that this comes with everything you need in order to properly get a fuse setup on a wire, such as this six gauge wire. The reason you want to have fuse installed is because if you we’re to have a short circuit, you don’t have to worry about an electrical fire happening in your trailer, your vehicle, or damaging your piece of equipment that’s being powered by this. The fuse will blow, thus eliminating the risk of an electric fire or causing damage to your expensive devices.Now the fuses that come with this kit are rated up to 40 amps.

So if you we’re to have a draw over 40 amps, the fuse will then blow and then will protect the system. If you’re running less than 40 amps of current on your device, this will be a perfect solution for you.Inside of our fuse holder, you can find our 40 amp fuse. It’s easily replaceable with one of the included replacements if you we’re to need to replace it. You don’t have to worry about running to an auto parts store in order to get a replacement. You already have it so you’re safe for the future.Now that we’ve gone over some features, we’ll show you how to get it installed.As you can see here, we have a power wire in the engine compartment of our vehicle.

In order to hook this up to our battery, we need to make sure that we have a fuse to protect the circuit that this wire’s going to power.Now we’re going to cut off some insulation from all three ends of our wire. Just using a utility knife to this. If you have wire strippers that are big enough to this, that’s good. I don’t so I’m just using a utility knife.Now that we have a cut, we’ll pull off the end and we’ll twist the wire together nice and tight. We’ll do the same for the other two ends.Now we’ll take one of our ring terminals that comes with our kit, and we’ll stick it on the long end of our cable.

We’ll stick it down all the way and we’ll crimp it into place. We’re using a hydraulic crimper for this. These are readily available at most hardware stores.We did the same for one of the other ends of our short cable. Now on the other end of our short cable, since we’re using six gauge wire, we’re going to attach a six gauge ring terminal with a 3/8 of an inch diameter hole, part number SWC57016 on our website.We’ll use our same crimping tool to crimp that into place.Redarc does highly recommend that we solder .. I will go ahead and get some solder inside of there.Okay, now that our connection is soldered, we’ll have a great electrical connection that’s nice and solid.

We’ll take some heat shrink and we’ll cover up our solder joint and our cable. We’ll use a heat gun to shrink it down.We’ll repeat the same process as soldering and heat shrinking all of our connections from this point forward.Now we’ll take our fuse holder, remove the nuts. Take our provided 40 amp fuse. Place it over the studs and we’ll place our terminals over the studs and reinstall the nuts.Now we use an eight millimeter socket to tighten our nuts. Now we’ll take our cover and we’ll fold it over our connections and it’ll snap closed and lock into place.Now we’ll remove this nut on our positive battery post. Place a ring terminal over the stud and we’ll reinstall the nut.That completes our look at an installation of the Redarc 40 amp fuse kit for Redarc in-vehicle DC to DC battery chargers, part number 331-FK40.

Speaker 1: Today we’re going to be taking a look at the Noco Accessories X Connect Male to Male Coupler. Now this couplers designed to provide two male adapters. See here we’ve got one on each end, this allows you to mix and match different accessories, depending on your charging needs. But just as long as they have the female X connect, the male X connect will go right in there, so we can tie several different items together to be used together in any way that we happen to need it.Just, one example, you’ve got a female eyelet connector that you typically would plug your battery charger in. We can now plug this into that, and we can use the female 12 volt adapter, plug that in. That would create a live 12 volt outlet drawing directly from our battery, that would be readily available for use.And we do have dust caps on each end, so we can keep it protected when not in use, we don’t have to worry about the dirt and grime getting in there.

Overall, it’s going to be six and a quarter inches from end of the cap to end of the cap, and it’s constructed with 16 gauge wire, so there’s plenty of wire there to get any charge through that we might need.As you can see that’s really all there is to it, that’s going to complete our look at the Noco Accessories X Connect Male to Male Coupler.

Today I’m going to take a look at the Furrion Net-Zero 80 amp Power Converter. Now, this converter charger will quickly charge your Furrion Net-Zero LiFePO4 battery, which we do sell separately on our website. It’s part number FDF12A100E. Now, this has a float and standby mode for auto recycle charge. It keeps your battery fresh, even during long periods of inactivity. It has a microprocessor control which allows auto-charging operations to ensure a quick and full battery charge.

It does use intelligent fan speed control, intelligent thermal D rating and cutoff protection. It has electronic current limiting, over-voltage protect, over-current protection, short circuit protection, and even reverse polarity protection. It does meet the UL 458 standards.If you notice on this end, you see there’s your battery connections right here. There’s a ground connection right here. It does have the four 20 am fuses, and on the other end they use a 40″ cord on this end.A few specs on this.

The battery type is RJ11. Standby voltage is 13.2 volts. Charge current is 80 amps. The operation voltage range is 100 volts AC to 132 volts AC, 60 hertz. Output over the current protection is 85 amps.

Full load input power is 1500 watts, and the no load input current is 200 milliamps. Full load input current at 120 volts, 60 hertz is 12.5 amps. The working environment for this is 14 degrees Fahrenheit to 122 degrees Fahrenheit, and the storage environment is a -4 degrees Fahrenheit to 176 degrees Fahrenheit. It does come with this nice instruction manual that will describe how to hook it up and how it operates.And the last thing I want to give you, some overall dimensions. Now, lengthwise, we’re going to measure.

You can see the battery connector sort of stick out some, so we’re going to measure from the end of those to this end right here. So if we put a ruler on that, you can see it’s going to be right at 11 11/16″ long. The overall width on it, you want to measure the bottom where the mounting brackets are, so edge to edge, and you’re going to be right at 9 5/16″ wide, and the overall height from the bottom to the very top is going to be right at 4 3/8″ tall.But that should do it for the review on the Furrion Net-Zero’s 80 amp Power Converter.

Today we’re going to review part number DW-08768. This is the Deka Battery Isolator Installation Kit for Delco GM CS alternators. This part is designed for 1985 and newer GM vehicles that are equipped with the Delco CS series alternators, and which some might require the addition of a sensor wire that is included. This will help you install a battery isolator onto your vehicle. It includes all the parts showing here. Starts with a nice set of complete, detailed instructions to help you do your connections. Comes with various size ring terminals right here, anywhere from 14-gauge to 16-gauge. Comes with a couple butt connectors. Comes with three plugs that would be used for the locations on your connector where there won’t be any wires going; you put the plugs in there.

It comes with the primary wire and also the sensor wire that is used for the ‘S’ position on some GM alternator connectors. Again, this is designed to work with the Delco CS alternators. Speaker: Today in this 2014 Polaris Ranger Crew 570 we’re going to install part number CTEK56380. This is a CTEK Battery Health Indicator Cable with Panel Box for 12-volt Comfort Connect Chargers. First, you need to find a location for our indicator box. This is up to personal preference in this case we’ll go by the backseat of the UTV and on a piece of plastic panel, a little bit out of the way we’ll go ahead and install it. Now to install it the instructions come with a little template used for our holes. In this case we’re going to use a piece of tape to help hold it in place and then we’ll go ahead and use a 1/8ths inch length drill bit and drill out the centers of our holes. Then we’ll go back at with a 3/8ths inch drill bit. Then using a knife and a rotary tool we’ll go ahead and make out the final rectangle form. We started off a little under-size.

We’ll work our way up with a few test bits before we put it on for good – taking out what material we need to. Once we can get it to fit in, we’ll go ahead and push it down for good until it clicks into place. Now we’ll go ahead and take the back seat off and get access to our battery. All we’ve got to do is connect two wires to our battery. We’ve got a positive and a negative. To start off we’ll go ahead and disconnect the negative cables from the battery.

Then we’ll start working with the positive side. These UTV’s already have a few accessories attached to the battery, so we’re actually going to tap off the series of breakers that’s already attached. The side of the breaker we’re going to is directly to the post of the battery. Remove the nut, put the ring terminal for the positive side on top of it and reinstall the nut. Then our black wire will go over to the negative side of our battery.

We’ll stack the other two previous wires on top of our new wire and then put it all back together for ground. At this point we’ll go ahead and take up our wires and zip-tie them to make sure they’re secure and out of the way. We’ll go ahead and put our seat into place and go ahead and check our indicator panel. Looking at it, it tells us that the battery is about half full. That’ll finish it for the CTEK Battery Health Indicator Cable with Panel Box. Part number CTEK56380, on our 2014 Polaris Ranger Crew 570. .
