Today we’ll be taking a look at the Duracell 6 Amp 3 stage battery maintainer, part number DRBC6A. Whether you’ve got a dead battery or you’re storing one for a long period of time, the Duracell 3 stage battery maintainer is right for you. We have 2 connection options. We have the clamp method, which would be for a single charge use, or the ring terminals, which would be for a prolonged use. Both of which are fuse protected so we don’t harm our battery or our charger. This would be great for hooking up to your motorcycle, lawnmower, or boat, but today I’m hooking going to be hooking up to my car. I’ll be using the clamps today. I’m going to hook positive to positive and negative to negative.
If I we’re using the ring terminals I would just back off the nut on each one. We’ll go red to red. Make sure it’s got a good, clean connection. And black to black. Then we can grab our quick disconnect, remove the protective cover.
We’ll do the same on our charger. Then we’ll just simply hook it up. Now we can go ahead and plug it in. It’s always a good idea to make sure that your cords are out of the way of your fan or your belt. Here at the unit solid red means that charging is in progress. Solid green means that it’s fully charged.
Flashing green means that it’s connected to the power, but not connected to the battery. That’s going to complete our look at the Duracell 6 Amp 3 stage battery maintainer, part number DRBC6A.
