I show that the Champion 2000 watt inverter generator is capable of charging batteries with the DC output.
After years of working 60 to 70 hours a week and never taking a vacation, Carolyn and I decided to quit our job and begin our full time RV’ing. We bought a 1970 Starcraft pop-up camper and are in the process of fixing it up. We may buy something more substantial later but we are quite excited starting our adventure in this pop-up.

Xiaomi has developed a fast-charger that’s able to charge a smartphone with 100W of power. In a video posted on Weibo that was spotted by XDA-Developers, a 4,000mAh phone is shown charging from empty to 100 percent in 17 minutes. The fastest charger we’ve ever tested, Oppo’s 50W Super VOOC, is shown charging its 3,700mAh battery to 65 percent in the same amount of time.
Xiaomi didn’t offer any further details about how the new fast-charging technology works. Although the Type-C connector already supports 100W of power draw, the bigger challenge with delivering this much power is getting it into a small battery without overloading it. Oppo’s Super VOOC achieves this in part by splitting its 3,400mAh battery into two separate 1,700mAh cells.
Xiaomi is yet to announce which, if any, handsets the technology is coming to. However, considering the video was posted by the General Manager of the company’s Redmi brand, Lu Weibing, it’s reasonable to assume a Redmi handset will be among the first. But when?

Discussion of Chinese 1800/2500W induction heaters: https://highvoltageforum.net/index.php?topic=530.0
12 old laptop power supplies put in series/parallel for 40V 51A, built and tested.
This is a power supply for the 1800 Watt Induction heater that I bought from ebay at 40 Euro, I avoided the cheapest seller for the simple reason that they all have bad reviews, so be sure to check that out before just buying the cheapest.
Pete who started the thread has a wide ranged knowledge of induction heaters. Check out Pete Stanaitis website: https://spaco.org/Blacksmithing/ZVSInductionHeater/ZVS1800Watt/1800-2500WattZVSInductionHeaterNotes.htm and his take on the 1800W IH: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S66Y-EZYhjo

In this video we are building a 576wh #portable #solar #generator for off grid or grid down power. This kind of solar generator is useful for many renewable power applications. Once build and put in to use, it generates 100% free energy for emergency power, communications, amateur radio, boondocking, van or RV life, to keep food or meficine refrigerated during grid down emergencies.
– 576 watt hours, 45amp hours
– 2000 charge cycles
– 30A ports
– 2x USB ports
– Internal Bluetooth battery monitor
– 4x DC Powerpole ports
– Every port is individually fused
– MPPT charge controller
– Dual Solar inputs
– Total weight 18lbs (8.3kg)
– Easy maintenance
– Replaceable Components
– Optional pure sinewave inverter
– Easy to build
The closest commercial product is the Goal Zero Yeti 400 Lithium. Our diy solar power generator will outperform the Yeti Lithium, (unless you need an inverter), the Yeti has one built in, but an onverter is optional in the DIY Solar Generator . Most people don’t need AC power or the inverter with a solar generator. They just need tthe right connectors for their gear.
An interesting feature on the solar generator is the wireless battery monitor from Thornwave labs. The battery monitor is a Bluetooth enabled shunt using Bluetooth SE to send information about the state of the system straight to our mobile phone. it’s also got an API to get data out to something like a raspberry pi or arduino for data logging.
